Extended Care Playworker job summary
Key responsibilities:
Always ensure the safety and well-being of all the children at all times.
Supervise our children at After School Club, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation
Plan and lead craft and cooking activities
Meet and greet parents
Develop quality play and activities, ensuring the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs through a variety of play opportunities.
Implement playwork principles and the EYFS statutory framework, and general childcare requirements.
Monitor homework activities, where appropriate
Food service and preparation
Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the School’s policies and procedures.

Ashley is a large primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 (Reception to Year 6). Since September 2021, we have had three classes in each year group, with 630 pupils in the school. We benefit from a huge site which includes a large playing field and a forest school area, where children experience outdoor learning such as gardening, bee-keeping and scientific study.
