Southery Academy has an exciting opportunity for two Extended School support team members for the brand new Larks & Owls wraparound care facility.
The successful candidates will be joining a vibrant and ambitious academy, led by experienced and supportive professionals. We’re looking for two dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team.
Southery Academy is proud to support the local community by offering our parents the option of using a before and after school club.
We are looking for someone positive, passionate, caring and enthusiastic, who can engage with children to inspire and motivate them to be the best they can be.
Training will be given to support you with the expectations of the role, along with a full induction programme. The provision in our extended school setting should support the policies and ethos of the academy.
At Southery Academy, we are very proud of what we are able to offer the children who come here. Our mainly Victorian building has outstanding views across the Fen from the playground and has been modernised and extended over the years to provide excellent facilities. We actively promote the ‘three C’s’ of Care, Consideration and Courtesy and aim to create a family atmosphere in which children learn to know and care for each other in a personal way.
Our mission statement of ‘Supporting each other, achieving together’ was developed by year 5 and 6 pupils in the summer term 2018 and is a result of the importance they placed upon the family feel of the Academy. The caring and happy environment we create, together with the curriculum we deliver, enables children to fulfil their potential and grow in self-confidence. All children leave our academy well-prepared for the next stage in their educational journey.
