What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, taking direction from the class teachers and SENCO in adapting and planning activities to help children progress. This 1:1 role includes working with an individual child with SEMH needs and leading small social intervention groups, using planning by our expert teachers. Previous experience of working with children is desirable, but not essential. The school will be able to offer full training to the right candidate.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a commitment and passion to work with pupils and a positive, patient outlook.
  • Are versatile and able to support our teachers in delivering a high standard of learning to pupils of all abilities.
  • Want to be a member of a creative and dynamic staff team with high expectations for our pupils.
  • Communicate with parents/carers and other professionals.
  • Be able to contribute to our safe, caring and supportive environment.
  • Have GCSE standard, or equivalent, of Maths and English.
