Newton Ferrers Church of England Primary School is a friendly village school proudly serving the children of Newton Ferrers, Nos Mayo and the surrounding areas. Our school has a nurturing ‘family’ atmosphere and staff work incredibly hard to ensure that we meet the needs of each child, enabling them to make fantastic progress during their time with us.

The school has exceptional facilities; six classrooms (including an outdoor area for our younger children),’The Burrow’ (including before and after school club), library, resource area, offices and large hall. There are extensive school grounds providing a wonderful outdoor learning environment; forest school, pond, school garden, greenhouse, playing field and playground. We make the most of these fantastic spaces to get the children outside and active as much as possible.

Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo have had a school serving the children in our villages since at least 1874. We were privileged to move into our new school building on February 14th 2003. In 2019, the school grew our age range so the school now runs from 3-11 years old with our on-site Nursery.

Our Church school is proud to play a key role in community life and has excellent links with people, organisations, businesses and churches in both villages. Parents are actively encouraged to work in partnership with the school for the benefit of every child.

Newton Ferrers Church of England Primary School is situated in the South Hams. It is a mixed primary school for children aged between the ages of 3 and 11 years. In September 2010, Newton Ferrers C of E Primary school joined the First Federation. It is a successful Multi Academy Trust of primary schools across Devon. One combined set of leaders and governors guide all the schools.

We actively encourage visits to our school so please get in touch and book a tour!
