This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful and unique small school setting to teach an EYFS/KS1 class in a very supportive school community. We are situated in rural North Norfolk. The setting benefits from excellent access to the outdoors and has established Forest School provision.
We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated professional to work with leaders to teach a Reception/KS 1 class to join us as soon as possible in the autumn term on a full-time permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching in a mixed phase class with excellent access to outdoor provision
- Delivering high-quality teaching and making effective use of resources
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the provision in EYFS in close collaboration with the leadership team
- Ensuring we are ambitious for our youngest learners to develop both academically and more holistically
- Managing a very capable team of teaching assistants
- Some negotiable subject co-ordination (non-core subject)
You will work to rapidly improve outcomes for children in your class and to support your team to do this. You will be well supported by highly skilled teaching assistants and the federation EYFS lead. You will be an integral part of our small school, contributing to the school development plan and to whole school strategic planning. You will model best practice sharing and showing up-to-date knowledge of current theory and practice
We pride ourselves on having high expectations for children’s development, academic achievements and behaviour, whatever their need or starting point. There is further opportunity to shape and develop the curriculum so it is broad and diverse. Erpingham and the Pathfinders Federation are inclusive settings, valuing all children’s achievements, ensuring that each child is given every opportunity to meet their full potential. We want to our Early Years/KS1 to be a first choice in this community – for children, staff, parents and the local community! Our school is a church school and we expect any candidate to respect and promote the Christian values that underpin our school.
Whatever your teaching background, we would love to hear from you; we particularly welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds.
We are looking for:
- A highly motivated and organised individual who really enjoys working with children and is ambitious for them.
- An excellent communicator.
- Experience as an outstanding classroom teacher.
- A colleague who can lead their class and team with clarity, professional warmth and a good sense of humour.
- Someone willing to fully commit to our school community and team.
