EYFS & KS1 Teaching Assistant job summary

Hawes Primary School (YCAT) is a small, friendly and welcoming school, where teamwork is highly valued. We are part of a very successful multi-academy trust of 5 schools. The Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust provides us with continued support and professional development. We are a good school (Ofsted September 2019) have a family ethos and treat everyone as an individual.

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced person to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will be to work with our pupils in our EYFS/KS1 Class, working with children from Nursery to Year 2. Applications are welcome from experienced adults who have a real desire to work and support children in their development. We are looking to appoint a hardworking, passionate and creative practitioner. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a secure understanding of the curriculum. You will be working alongside an established, committed and supportive staff team.

You must:
Have a good understanding of pupils who have special educational needs.
Have a calm and positive approach and a good sense of humour.
Be confident in communicating positively with stakeholders on a daily basis.
Be hardworking and willing to contribute to the whole school ethos.
Someone who sets and meets high standards.
The job will be fixed term contract of 26.25 hours per week until 24th July 2022 with a possibility that it may be extended. We would also be looking for the candidate to cover some lunchtimes as Midday Supervisor in addition if possible.

Starting date: 28th February 2022. The GTA salary is £11,043 pro rata p.a – Grade C point 2. The post is term time only.

Midday Supervisor is £9.43 p.h
