EYFS Lead job summary
We seek an enthusiastic, committed and imaginative leader to join us at Eastfield Primary School to take it into the future alongside and work in a team that is built on open, honest and real relationships.
The EYFS Lead will provide leadership and strategic direction for the EYFS team working closely with the Head Teacher to ensure the provision in this section of the school is led well and is of high quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is either seeking to take the next steps with their career or someone who is already experienced in leading EYFS looking to take on a new challenge.
The ideal candidate for the role will need to have the experience and skills to be able to lead EYFS to becoming an outstanding place of learning for all pupils and staff. The post holder will ensure that foundation stage is child centred, promotes curiosity, inquisitiveness and kindness.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and team working skills. They will have significant experience as an EYFS practitioner in an education setting and will have the ability to contribute to the creation and implementation of a strategic plan which ensures that pupils achieve high standards and make good progress.

The school has extensive grounds that accommodate a school farm, forest school, peace garden and a large sports field. Recent expansion of the school has meant eight new classrooms and a new kitchen to cook our own dinners on site. We also have a preschool on site, Tiddlywinks, managed by the school, housed alongside a Sure Start Children’s Centre.
