Are you a passionate and dedicated educator looking for a new and exciting opportunity to lead and inspire young minds? If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Class Teacher and EYFS Lead at our thriving primary school in South Oxfordshire. This is your chance to lead our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team and a curriculum team of colleagues.

We are seeking a candidate who is:

  • An outstanding teacher and curriculum leader who is passionate about achieving the highest possible outcomes for all children
  • Experienced in teaching in EYFS
  • Capable of being a strong leader with excellent communication skills who can inspire and motivate others
  • Committed to the well-being of all the children in our school
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated with high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Well organised, plans effectively and has good classroom teaching skills and management
  • Strongly committed to raising standards and school improvement
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record of improving teaching, learning and pupil outcomes
  • Is an outstanding practitioner in the teaching of phonics in order to lead our Bug Club phonic programme

What the school offers its staff

Cholsey Primary School is a member of OPEN, the Oxfordshire Primary Education Network; an innovative group of four schools working to provide the highest quality of education for its children. As such, we are able to offer rich learning experiences through collaborative working across all our schools and excellent CPD opportunities.

The successful candidate will lead a team of teachers and teaching assistants who work with our 2 EYFS classes, working closely with other phase leaders across the school as part of the leadership team. They will also lead a curriculum team which includes English Leadership.
