What skills and experience we're looking for
St. Andrew’s CE Primary is a small school in Stockwell in the London Borough of Lambeth; we are part of the SW9 Partnership, a small federation of two one-form entry, Church of England primary schools. Our purpose is to provide a rich and creative curriculum, with high standards within a small, inclusive school - children, staff and governors are committed to the school ethos, which is built on working together to ensure the best outcomes for all our children.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and exceptional early years teacher, looking to play a leading role in the motivation and challenge of staff and pupils to achieve the highest levels of progress and attainment across our federation.
Whether you are a current Early Years Phase Leader or an experienced teacher looking to take the next step, this opportunity could be perfect for you.
The successful candidate will:
- be an accomplished, highly motivated, committed and passionate early years practitioner
- have an ability and commitment to engage, motivate and inspire all children to learn, achieve and make good progress
- have a real belief in inclusivity and the fact that all children can be supported to be successful
- have an excellent general knowledge and understanding of the Early Years
- have an excellent working knowledge of key Early Years transitions from Nursery through to Year One
- have a commitment to high standards of learning and development across all areas of the profile
- have flexibility, resilience, adaptability and commitment to working as part of a team
- be a great communicator with good interpersonal skills who can also actively engage with parents
- be passionate about education in a school deeply rooted in the local community
