What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you ready to take that next step in your career or already a strong leader looking to take on a new challenge? We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Leader with exceptional Early Years knowledge who will take charge of our Reception classes at St Michael’s and take a strategic development of the Early Years. You will be able to flourish as both a practitioner and a leader with a supportive team around you and within a positive environment.
Joining our Senior Leadership Team and receiving support from our Deputy and Headteacher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Early Years as well as having a role to play in shaping the strategic direction of Early Years in our school. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be able to use your strong pedagogy and philosophy for Early Years, along with your creative flare and zest for learning, to lead our EYFS team towards become a beacon of excellence.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a proven strong EYFS teacher who has a clear understanding of high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum.
- Have leadership skills that will enable staff to flourish and pupils to reach their potential, underpinned by a strong personal philosophy and clear pedagogical subject knowledge.
- Be happy to support the Church of England ethos of our school through our school values.
- Be dedicated to raising standards and removing barriers to learning for all pupils.
- Have high expectations of themselves and pupils with a positive, can do and proactive nature.
- A commitment to developing an engaging and exciting curriculum based on practical and first-hand learning experiences set within a very strong learning environment.
