What skills and experience we're looking for
St Barnabas MAT have a position for an EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant at St Dominic CofE Primary School.
This post is for 5 days per week - 32.5 hours - 8.30am to 3:30pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational Early Years practitioner who is enthusiastic, creative and has an excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage to join our dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking Early Years team. Suitable candidates will be confident in developing early reading, writing and maths skills. They will also be confident when communicating with parents.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- have attained Maths and English at GCSE level at grade C or above/equivalent
- Qualified EYFS Level 3 or above
- have experience of working with groups of children in an EYFS setting
- support children in developing academic and social skills
- be able to respond to the children's learning styles and adapt learning accordingly
- work as part of a team within the classroom and on their own initiative
- be able to communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals
- support the teacher in carrying out assessments of children’s progress
- support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.
- be able to support the Christian ethos
