Salary Range: MPS/UPS
The Governors are looking to appoint a highly enthusiastic and dedicated teacher for a temporary contract for one year one term to cover maternity leave. East Coker Primary School is a popular, large, rural school with a very supportive and friendly community. We aim to provide our children with a balance of academic and wider experiences to grow into well-rounded, compassionate and confident young people with a strong sense of community.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working with children in the infant phase
Will be fully committed to our school ethos

Have the ability to work as part of a friendly, supportive team and contribute to all aspects of school life.
Demonstrate high expectations of pupils' attainment, behaviour and personal development.
Good understanding of continuous provision throughout the infant phase

East Coker Community Primary School is a middle sized school for pupils aged between 4 - 11 years. Our core catchment is the village of East Coker together with the surrounding villages of East Chinnock, Pendomer and Hardington as well as an area of Yeovil. A growing proportion of our pupils come to us from outside this area from other villages and other parts of Yeovil. Our admission number for each year group is 38 pupils and we currently have over 230 pupils on roll. We are a eight class school and some classes are mixed age.
