EYFS Practitioner - Seedlings Nursery (maternity cover contract) job summary

About the role: Langley Park Primary Academy is now recruiting for an outstanding EYFS Practitioner (Maternity Cover contract), starting from January 2022. We are looking for an experienced practitioner to join our highly effective EYFS Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for;

Providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting
Giving support to other personnel within the setting
Implementing a daily routine in the base room.​​​​​​​
You will joining a friendly and forward thinking team and staff who collaborate across all phases and year groups. Our children are independent and thinking learners, who are at the centre of everything we do.
Our ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or the equivalent of.

About Seedlings Nursery: Our warm welcoming nursery offers an outstanding start to your child’s learning journey.

We offer our children either 15 hours or 30 hour funded sessions, depending upon eligibility.

Our nursery sessions are delivered by highly skilled practitioners who scaffold children’s play through high quality interactions and learning opportunities.

We cover all areas of the Early Years Curriculum as well as the Primary Years Programme (PYP). Through doing so we nurture children and encourage them to develop the following key attributes which we feel are fundamental to creating lifelong learners.

Working for Langley Park Primary Academy: Langley Park Primary Academy opened in September 2016 and is the hub of a brand new community in Maidstone. We believe in – and celebrate – achievement and success in all areas of the curriculum. We want our children to learn within a culture of curiosity, enjoyment and positive approaches to new experiences and skills to enable them to become successful learners. From September 2018, we expanded into Year 4. In September 2019, we increased again as this year group moved into Year 5 – a very exciting year ahead as we will then be at capacity.
