What skills and experience we're looking for
Do you have an interest in Autism or have experience working with children with Autism? Are you an outstanding teacher? We have a vacancy in our mainstream for an intervention teacher to support EYFS children with SEND.
The role will be based in our mainstream, teaching a small class of children, in a specially designed intervention classroom, supported by a team of Child Support Assistants and a Speech and Language Therapist. We are looking to appoint the best from across the Primary range. This role is a new, innovative post, and therefore is being offered as a fixed term- 1 year contract, with opportunity to extend, as the post is evaluated throughout the year.
We have just had our routine Ofsted inspection (May 2024) and we look forward to sharing the report with our community.
We are looking for a teacher who:
is an outstanding primary practitioner who can demonstrate success in improving provision for their pupils
has a strong knowledge and understanding of how to support children with Autism
has the knowledge of, or skills in using, specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECs
has knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and continuous provision
is able to engage with and enthuse parents
has excellent organisational and digital skills

Netley Campus also comprises an Adult Learning Centre, Camden’s Primary Pupil Referral Unit and an NHS Language & Communications Team.
