About the role

Are you looking to work at a forward thinking school where everyone is seen as a learner?

Are you motivated to develop as a teacher, leader and team member?

In our foundation unit, we focus on the needs and interests of our children. We build relationships in a rich and engaging early years environment. If you believe that children thrive through play and quality experiences to lay the foundations for lifelong learning, then you could be part of our highly effective early years team.

We are looking for an exemplary early years practitioner to join our close working team.

You will have a strong understanding of how purposeful play ensures safe and stimulating learning. You will have experience of planning an early years curriculum with high quality resources that provide a range of open-ended learning opportunities. You will foster an understanding of early learning and will value the interests, needs and skills of our children and families. You will be a person who has warmth and kindness, welcoming our families to experience the awe and wonder of early learning in partnership with you.

Our Shephalbury LEARNER attributes are at the heart of the learning and attitudes that we see every day from our staff and learners across the school. As a member of our learning community we would expect that you would buy into our high aspirations for all.

We take the mental and physical well-being of our learners, staff and wider community very seriously, and are constantly developing and implementing new ideas to support the well-being of our entire learning community.

We are a popular 1 form entry school with many fantastic facilities. We have enviable grounds, a library, computing suite, and many other high quality resources to support high quality teaching and learning.

We are looking for someone who is committed to our learners and their own self development. We want you to have a genuine commitment to help our learning community aspire and achieve; you should also have strong literacy, numeracy and interpersonal skills.

We are committed to providing a happy, safe, fun and secure environment in which every member of our learning community - learners, staff, parents and governors - feel valued and can flourish.

If the sound of this job excites and inspires you, then we would be delighted to welcome you to visit and see our fantastic school for yourself, to let our Shephalbury learners, staff and facilities speak for themselves. We look forward to meeting you!
