What skills and experience we're looking for

ECTs are welcome to apply for this role.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our hard-working staff and become part of a team that is committed to providing the very best opportunities for all our children.

You will know how to motivate and inspire children to learn. You will understand how to use formative and summative assessment to inform your teaching of the EYFS curriculum. You will have a genuine belief that all children have the potential for success. You will understand how to effectively support children to make rapid and sustained progress and will be committed to making this happen.

What the school offers its staff

  • Havelock can offer you a warm and engaging environment where you will be supported to professionally develop yourself as a teacher and bring high expectations to our Havelock family. We provide high quality CPD, wellbeing support and have a welcoming team of staff members at hand to ensure success for all.
  • Havelock has a 27 place ARP that specialises in supporting children with high SEND needs. This provision allows our mainstream staff to develop their practice further around supporting children with SEND.
  • The school is situated only a short walk away from the Elizabeth Line.
  • We are looking for a teacher who has high expectations, enjoys being creative and independent, has good communication skills, works well in a team and has a good understanding of a value-based approach to education to support our community.
  • We strongly recommend you visit the school prior to interview.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to the protection and safety of our pupils and expect staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the Person Specification (that must be set out in the Personal Statement), will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and need to supply two satisfactory references, one from their current employer. Shortlisted applicants may be subject to an online search as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.
