We are a large, split-site primary school serving the north of Malvern, Worcestershire. A school with a rich history, we have recently grown to meet the needs of an expanding town, moving into the Malvern Vale site in September 2018, where we continue to evolve until full in all year groups in September 2024. Presently, including our nursery, we have 581 children across both sites.
On our Somers Park site, we have our school nursery which provides a high quality, teacher led nursery for children from 2 years and 9 months to 4 years. Here, you will see our youngest children developing self-confidence, social interaction and resilience as they build all of the skills they need to start in reception.
Everything we do at Somers Park is about the children. During their time at Somers Park, we enjoy seeing our learners grow into independent thinkers who have a thirst for learning and great enjoyment of school. This comes as a result of an interesting and progressive curriculum delivered by skilled and caring teaching and support staff.
Our Think. Know. Explain. Do. curriculum model flows through the school. Children are encouraged to challenge their own ideas and those of others, experiment and explore, they engage with experiences which support and develop the whole child.
Two sites. One school.
In our opinion we have the best of both worlds- fantastic modern facilities with a small school feel at Malvern Vale, accompanied by the original site which has an established, forward thinking culture, demonstrating proven success over a number of years. As an early academy convertor, we are now the largest school in Mercian Education Trust, a small Trust comprising four Worcestershire schools, over 5 sites.
