About the role
Staynor Hall Community Primary Academy have an exciting opportunity to recruit for an outstanding and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant. The role is to work with our two year old children in our Tiny Steps Nursery. You will work Monday and Tuesday 8.30am until 3.30pm and a Wednesday 8.30am – 12.30pm, this role is initially a fixed term post until July 2023.
Within this position you will be working with the Class Teacher to support early years children with their emotional and learning needs, this may be in small groups or one – to – one. This could be helping them with their toilet training, encouraging them to build relationships with their peers, helping them to take turns and share or engaging in some messy play.
In addition, you will implement the school’s behaviour management policy both in class and across the school where appropriate.
You will be a calm, caring and patient person who is dedicated to helping young children learn, grow and flourish.
The job requirements
You will be an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who has fantastic communication skills which will allow you to work closely and effectively with the children, parents and carers and the Early Years team.
You will have the ability to multi-task and be able to help plan and deliver stimulating and interesting activities and be confident in playing with children and reading stories aloud.
You will be passionate about teaching and learning and will believe in developing the true potential of all our children.
