What skills and experience we're looking for
Do you have experience working in schools? Do you have a good understanding of children’s needs, including those special educational needs? If you are able to use your own initiative and want to help improve our children’s futures, we would be very interested to meet you. Owing to the new DfE regulations on ratios you will need to have a level 3 qualification in early years or teaching assistant equivalent and at least a GCSE or equivalent in English. Can you give us;
- Dedication, enthusiasm and commitment
- Experience as an Early year’s practitioner, undertaking assessments towards Early Learning Goals and understanding of ways to move the learning on based on the children’s interest and need
- Knowledge of interventions that support EYFS children in speech, language and communication
- Understanding of the key role played by support staff in the education of children
- A range of experience delivering interventions with a proven track record
- Knowledge of effective behaviour strategies for children with SEMH and/or ASD
- A holistic, inclusive and positive approach
- Team work and a commitment to self-development
- A good level of numeracy, grammar and literacy
- Effective communication skills
