Facilities Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and energetic Facilities Assistant to join our highly successful team of mutually supportive colleagues whose shared purpose is to inspire and challenge all students at Atlantic Academy.

Here at Atlantic Academy Portland, we are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, professional and team orientated person. We need a Facilities Assistant that understands and can meet the needs of all children. You will be part of a successful, supportive, well resourced and fully staffed Facilities Team and working under the direction of the Facilities Manager to ensure that the school’s buildings, site and furnishings are safe, secure and maintained to Health and Safety standards as defined by the Academy and Health & Safety legislation.

We encourage best practice through a variety of CPD opportunities. We are looking to appoint a candidate that puts children first, mitigates barriers to learning, has a can-do approach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

No formal qualifications required but some experience and knowledge would be an advantage. This is a varied role and we are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and able to work as part of a supportive team
- Has a calm and friendly approach
- Has basic DIY skills
- Is aware of Health and Safety issues
- Has the physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- Is naturally cheerful and optimistic, with evidence of the positive contribution that you can bring to our team;
- Is hardworking, dedicated, committed
- Wants to be valued, train further and help us make a difference.
