Facilities Manager – South Hub job summary

Facilities Manager – South Hub

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to appoint a permanent, full-time Facilities Manager – South Hub that will be predominantly based at Greentrees Primary School (the role will cover all Pickwick Academy Trust South Wiltshire Hub Schools).

Required to start: 1st September 2024 or as soon as possible

Hours: 37 hours per week, to be worked between 8.30am – 4.30pm, 5 days per week (with an unpaid 30-minute lunchbreak each day . Exact hours and days of working to be agreed on appointment. Please note in line with anticipated Trust growth, the role incorporates responsibility for local schools and the management of maintenance staff.

Salary Point: G12-G14, £26,873 - £28,770 per annum (Please note that this salary is currently subject to a pay award)

Pickwick Academy Trust currently consists of fifteen community and church primary schools across Wiltshire and Dorset, organised into three geographically proximate hubs. The schools in the Trust are committed to working together to provide the best schools and outcomes for their children.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the delivery of a professional and effective Premises and Health and Safety function across each of the Pickwick Academy Trust South Wiltshire Hub Schools, ensuring that each is maintained to the same high standard.

Job Purpose:

The Facilities Manager is responsible to the Trust Head of Facilities (Designated Line Manager) and the Headteacher at each school for ensuring that a wide range of proactive and planned maintenance and refurbishment services for both buildings and grounds is completed, alongside ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and recommended practice relevant to the role. Liaison with external contractors, including catering, cleaning and grounds maintenance teams, to ensure efficient and effective service, is required.
