Faculty Director of Hospitality, Design Technology and Art job summary
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic faculty leader to lead and develop the Hospitality, Design Technology and Art department from April 2022. This opportunity would suit an ambitious, highly motivated teacher who aspires to leadership and who wishes to progress their career within a supportive environment.
As faculty leader you will be responsible for the quality of provision in the faculty area, leading the subject teams effectively and delegating appropriately to all members of the team. As a member of the middle management team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the academy. You will lead and manage a team of staff and will be accountable for raising student attainment levels and responding to the challenges of curriculum development.
The preferred start date for this position is April 2022. A later start date of September 2022 can be considered, for the right applicant. Both full time and part time candidates will be considered.

About You
We are looking for a talented individual who wants to be a part of transforming education and helping create an exceptional environment for learning. We would like to hear from you if you have:
QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
Previous experience of Teaching KS3-KS5 DT, Engineering, Art or Hospitality.
A passion for education and making a difference
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
The ability to motivate others.
To have high expectations of themselves and students
Experience of developing the curriculum offer within a Faculty.
