FACULTY LEAD – SECONDARY PHASE job summary

St John’s CE Academy is a new all-through Church of England Academy for ages 2 to 16. We are seeking dynamic and experienced leaders to help shape the Secondary Phase, opening in September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to join our founding team, leaving a lasting legacy and making a meaningful impact on students, families, and the wider community. We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

  • English Faculty Lead (English, Modern Foreign Languages)
  • Mathematics Faculty Lead (Mathematics, Computing)
  • Science Faculty Lead (Science, Physical Education)

We are looking for inspirational leaders with expertise in English, Maths, or Science to work closely with primary colleagues and shape a seamless 2–16 curriculum that aligns with the Academy’s vision and values.

As the school grows, so will your role, offering you the opportunity to expand your leadership impact and shape a high-performing team. You will inspire high-quality teaching and ensure excellent outcomes for all students, with a particular focus on supporting the most vulnerable. By fostering a culture of collaboration and achievement, and setting consistently high standards, you will create an environment where both staff and students are empowered to thrive.

As a Church of England Academy, we welcome staff and students of all faiths and none, and seek leaders who will uphold our Christian ethos and core values of Respect, Kindness, and Courage.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful contribution to our Academy’s journey, we’d love to hear from you!
