The Governors of the Holy Family Catholic School, Voluntary Academy, are seeking to appoint a practising Catholic as Faculty Leader for Religious Education.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Faculty Leader for Religious Education to undertake the leadership of an excellent department and inspire, in all our students, both a curiosity and love of Religious Education learning. This post is suitable for someone who would like to widen their experience and offers real opportunities1 for professional and career development as part of the school’s extended leadership team. The Religious Education Faculty are in an exciting position and are now in Year 2 of embedding their new curriculum which can be found on the school website.
We are looking for someone who will promote the wider Catholic Life of the school with enthusiasm and who will contribute to the school mission of ensuring that our students awaken minds, achieve dreams and serve others. As such the successful candidate would be expected to have full involvement with the wider aspects of school life and the local community.

The Holy Family Catholic School, a Voluntary Academy belongs to The Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust, serving the town of Keighley and surrounding villages in pleasant rural surroundings. The school is on a rapid improvement journey. Governors appointed a new Headteacher in September 2021, and the school leadership team has also been recently restructured.

The Faculty Leader will take lead responsibility for providing leadership and management of Religious Education to secure:
High-quality teaching
Effective use of resources
Improved standards of learning and achievement for all
The Faculty Leader will also:
Promote our Catholic Ethos across the academy based on the wider mission of the school.
Oversee Catholic Life across the school in preparation for our next Section 48 inspection.
