Faculty Leader for Technologies and Art job summary

The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Faculty Leader for Design Technology to join us on a permanent and full-time basis. Ideally our new colleague will be keen to join us as soon as possible for preparation works, with lessons beginning in September 2022.

We are excited to announce a rare and unique opportunity to join Brompton Academy to create a brand-new faculty. The academy currently offers subjects such as Food Technology, Art and Photography, but our vision is to be able to offer students an additional range of subjects that will include Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering and Textiles. As our new Faculty Leader, you will have the passion, drive and vision to create a curriculum and physical teaching environment from its conception and will be a key contributor to the future of Technologies and Art at Brompton Academy.

You will be a strong and experienced leader, who has the vision and skills necessary to create a new curriculum. You will be an outstanding teacher, who will have their own timetable, and will be able to inspire and motivate others. This may be an opportunity for Subject Leaders or Head of Departments to join an Academy where you can create a new department according to your own specifications and we would love to hear what plans you have for Brompton Academy.

Priority will be given to candidates who have a background in Resistant Materials, Product Design or Engineering, but we are willing to be convinced by your application if you are applying with a different specialism.

The successful applicant will be coming to a multi-academy trust wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, and in the knowledge that they will enjoy the full support and care of the pragmatic (and down to earth) leadership team. We have a dynamic, innovative team of professional staff who want to make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people. We would encourage applicants to visit the UKAT website to view the many employee benefits on offer https://www.universityofkentacademiestrust.org.uk/careers-with-ukat

How to Apply
