Harrogate Grammar School is an outstanding Teaching School with an extensive variety of opportunities for staff development through the Red Kite Learning Trust. Working with a talented and innovative Faculty comprising of Psychology, Business, Sociology and Economics, the Trust is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, professional and talented teacher to lead and manage the Faculty to maintain high quality teaching and learning, effective use of resources and improved standards of achievement for all students.

The Social Science Faculty brings together a range of Post-16 subjects, enabling a team of dedicated teachers to not only specialise in their subject area, but also share their experience in teaching post-16 students. Preparing students for applications to some of the most competitive universities and employment opportunities, the Faculty aims to deliver truly world class provision in Social Science. The Faculty revolves around the delivery of A Level Psychology, Economics, Sociology and Business to approximately 500 students, along with the EPQ to approximately 150 Sixth Form students. In addition, the Faculty delivers GCSE Business.

This is an exciting opportunity within a highly regarded and growing faculty to further develop your leadership skills whilst maintaining the strong tradition of academic success which is coupled with the desire to maximise the potential of students in the school using a range of innovative, varied and well-planned learning strategies.
