About the Role: As a Faculty Technician (supporting Design and Technology, including Food Technology and Art), you will play a crucial role in the Creative and Expressive Arts team by:

* Preparing and managing lesson materials and equipment.
* Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
* Providing technical support and expertise to students and faculty staff.
* Contributing to the school's vibrant and creative atmosphere through display preparation and maintenance.

Responsibilities Include:

* Advising and assisting on the availability and setup of equipment.
Performing installation, maintenance, first line repairs and if necessary recommending repair on machinery and tools.
* Coordinating annual servicing and safety checks on specialised equipment.
* Liaising with teachers and providing support in lesson preparation and delivery.
* Assisting with material orders and resource management.
* Sharing expertise on equipment usage and health and safety practices.

What We're Looking For:

* Qualifications in English and Mathematics (Level 2 GCSE or equivalent).
* Experience in using and maintaining workshop tools and equipment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including electrical and COSHH standards.
* Ability to solve problems, plan workload, and work as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
