Families Centre Assistant job summary
Wittering Primary School is a friendly school serving the local community and surrounding areas. Attached to school is the Families Centre. We have worked incredibly hard to ensure the Families Centre continues to support the needs of our local community through receipt of a National Lottery Community Grant. Our Families Centre supports parents and children aged 0-5 through groups, Family Support Work at the request of parents for school aged children and is often a first port of call for information from all ages and needs within the local community.
We are seeking to appoint a key person who is able to provide support to the centre, providing a welcoming presence to any visitors to our school. As well as undertaking administration for the centre you will also assist in the provision of play sessions to the children.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience of working with pre-school children
The ability to prioritise your work dealing with conflicting demands, deadlines and interruptions
Have good communication, inter-personal skills and ICT skills
Able to embrace collaborative working and share good practice
Looking to combine good organisational skills and a sense of fun to their work
Ready to put the children at the heart of what we do
