Family Champion job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, self-motivated Family Champion to lead change for our families affected by their child being at risk of exclusion.

The Acorn Centre is looking to add to our team. We are a school support service focussed on building positive experiences for children in a nurturing environment using therapeutic strategies. We are looking for a like-minded individual to compliment our already established behaviour support team and develop collaborative approaches.
This is a rewarding and challenging role that focuses on enabling progress across all areas of development and giving every child the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Proven experience working directly with children/ families with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential for this role along with having experience of working in or alongside external agencies. Previous family support work is essential.
We are looking for a special person who is emotionally robust and who can provide a holistic approach in supporting the needs of vulnerable children and families where they are at risk of being excluded from school. An understanding of the reasons for behaviour choices is essential for this role and the ability to put strategies in place to empower the family to self-reflect and create positive change.
The Acorn Centre is an primary school support service for children who are at risk of being excluded. There needs to be a flexible approach to working which may include hours outside of the school day. Being able to work on your own initiative and liaise directly with other staff members is essential, alongside other professionals.
