Family Engagement Coordinator job summary

Clarendon School is a vibrant and inclusive special academy for 160 pupils aged 4-16 with Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties. Our unique and friendly school has three sites within the borough of Richmond upon Thames, all self-contained but co-located with inclusive minded mainstream schools.

Our Primary and Secondary centres opened in new or newly refurbished buildings 7 years ago, giving us excellent purpose-built facilities, and a fourth site is planned to open in 2026 to ensure that we can meet the increasing need for specialist places locally.

As our Family Engagement Coordinator, you will be at the heart of this mission, making a real difference in the lives of our families. This role entails working with senior leaders to identify and support families, reduce barriers to pupil attendance and learning, help parents and carers to network, access support from other agencies (which may include financial support, housing, and social care), and work with the designated safeguarding lead, attending Children in Need (CIN) and Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings.
