Beormund Primary is a unique special needs setting supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs. All children have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) outlining their complex, personalised needs. Our children arrive having experienced some form of trauma, unmet attachment needs, a significant number of ACEs, a plethora of medical diagnosis and a disassociation with the education system. Their thoughts, feelings and vulnerabilities are communicated through their behaviours with many having been excluded from a mainstream setting and/or attending a PRU before arriving here. Collectively as a team, we aim to help children to enhance their self-esteem, build relationships and trust in order to support them to challenge themselves academically, socially and emotionally.
