Working pattern: Monday – Thursday - 8am -4pm, Friday - 8am -3.30pm

If so, Queen Katharine Academy has an exciting opportunity for you!

Your role:

As a Family Liaison Officer, you will play a vital role in providing pastoral care by liaising directly with families to support the wellbeing of our students. You will address the needs of students who require help to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside the academy. Your responsibilities include developing mentoring relationships with students, liaising with families to ensure their needs are met, and working with external agencies to provide appropriate interventions. You will also be one of the academy's lead professionals for Early Help Assessments and a Designated Safeguarding Officer.

To excel in this role, you will need strong communication skills, the ability to work empathetically with students and families, and experience in working with young people and external agencies. You should have practical knowledge of IT packages, an understanding of good customer care practices, and the ability to prioritise and organise conflicting demands. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
