What skills and experience we're looking for

Whether you are new to the education sector or are an experienced practitioner, if you are passionate about supporting our students to attend school, to build positive relationships in the world around them, and to help them achieve their full potential, West Exe wants to hear from you.

However, for some of our families, attendance at school is a real challenge. You will be the regular contact home, providing advice, guidance, support and encouragement. You will work closely with external agencies, bridging the gap between home and school, with the over-arching aim of helping young people back into fulltime education.

Regardless of your years of experience, if you are reflective in your approach and have a desire to continuously improve your practice, this is the school for you.

What the school offers its staff

West Exe School is a highly successful secondary school in the beautiful city of Exeter and without doubt, the greatest place to work in the Southwest. We have a warm, caring atmosphere, disruption free classrooms and an unrivalled staff development programme.
