Family Support Worker job summary
Eaton Bray Academy is looking for an individual who is passionate about ensuring that all children have the best start in life and are dedicated to working with families to help to achieve this. This is a part-time role for between 10-15 hours (minimum 2 hours per day 8.30am-10.30am) which can be agreed at interview.
Eaton Bray Academy is a one form entry primary school, with a dedication to ensuring children's happiness and wellbeing. The role of family support worker is a new one for our school which we anticipate the post-holder developing within and beyond the posted job description as needs change.
The role encompasses many aspects of supporting families including as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. The family support worker will work with families to put actions in place to help and support the whole family in order to enhance the child's wellbeing. They will develop good relationships with our families and identify the most appropriate support and external services to be utilised.
The individual will work as a part of the safeguarding team and will report to the Headteacher.
