School Family Worker - Job Opportunity

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, compassionate and forward‑thinking School Family Worker to join the Hertsmere Schools Partnership. Working alongside local schools within Borehamwood, Potters Bar and surrounding villages, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for children, young people and their families by providing practical guidance, emotional support and targeted intervention. This position offers the chance to make a genuine, positive impact within the community.

Working Hours

This is a part-time, flexible position working 20-25 hours per week across 40 weeks of the year. The role is structured around school term time (38 weeks) with an additional two weeks worked flexibly to support service needs.

Essential qualities for the role:

Strong safeguarding knowledge, including legislation and escalation procedures.

Experience supporting children, young people or families in a professional capacity.

Relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in childcare, social care, youth work, education or similar field.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
