Family Support Worker job summary
This is an exciting opportunity, ideally for an experienced Family Support Worker, to work alongside an established safeguarding team across the Nursery, Infant and Junior Schools on our Irthlingborough site.
The role will encompass a wide range of aspects, all of which are aimed to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. The role will be to support families including specific interventions for children and working with outside agencies. You will lead on EHA’s and be part of the safeguarding team, which works across the four schools in our Trust and some of the schools in our locality. This is a vital role in our schools and the successful candidate will be working across the site with another experienced family worker, hence teamwork will be an essential part of the role.
We are looking for a person with a strong sense of passion to support our local families to ensure that the children get the best start to life and education in Irthlingborough. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children and families in an educational or social care setting and they will work alongside local agencies such as social care, housing and education welfare, to secure the best outcomes for children and families. They will be able to work effectively as a member of the team, have excellent interpersonal skills and consistently support the Trust values and approaches to a high standard.
