The Governors of Christ the King and St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academies are seeking to appoint an inspirational staff member to join a team of dedicated staff working within the pastoral and safeguarding team at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of successfully removing barriers for young people and their families whilst working alongside and with external agencies.
Experience in a school is a desirable criteria and not essential for this role.
Governors believe this is an excellent opportunity for a forward-looking individual to join a team within one of our two schools. Our two schools are part of the Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
Following the promotion of the existing post holder, the new Family Support Worker will be a critical member of the pastoral team. They will report to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, whilst working alongside other colleagues and members of the team. The intensive work with families engaged with social care will take a large proportion of the time alongside working with pupils to support preventive measures.
The successful candidate will build professional and positive relationships with colleagues, parents, children and external agencies in their pursuit of high quality pastoral care at St Cuthbert’s.
It is to be noted that the position of Family Support Worker is full time within St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy, term time only plus five days.
The role would require engagement with the other Family SupportWorker based at Christ the King Catholic Academy as well as working alongside a School Home Support (SHS) practitioner who works across the two sites also.
