Weeks per year: 38 weeks plus 5 additional training days
Working Pattern: 08:30am–16:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, plus half an hour unpaid lunch break per day
We are looking for a family worker to join our dedicated and hardworking pastoral support team here at Waulud Primary School. Family Workers are at the heart of our community, working closely with our families and outside agencies, helping to ensure that we make a difference to every pupil and carry forward our vision for high aspirations for all.
The position is primarily based at Waulud Primary School however candidates applying for this role must have a valid driving licence and use of their own vehicle.

About you
- Experience of effectively working with children in challenging circumstances
- Experience working with professionals from a number of Early Help agencies e.g. Family Partnership/MASH/Social Care
- Represent the school and pupils at multi-agency meetings, including those on the child protection register
- Experience and understanding of safeguarding children and young people
- Excellent communication skills demonstrating support, tact and being objective with both parents/carers and children
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
- Ability to organise and manage your own time
- Able to work effectively while under pressure
