What skills and experience we're looking for

As this role requires the supervision of female pupils it is an occupational requirement to request female applicants only.
- teach at all levels and to all abilities, seeking to ensure that all pupils make very good progress, enjoy their learning, and become well educated
- contribute more widely to the well-being of our pupils, through being a form tutor, undertaking duties, and being a role model for them for their learning and their conduct

- be an enthusiastic and innovative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving high standards within a successful department
- have a clear understanding of the characteristics of high-quality teaching and be able and willing to teach across the whole age and ability range
- quickly build rapport and effective professional relationships with both our young people and colleagues
- understand that behaviour management starts with the quality of teaching
- demonstrate personal resilience and role model those personal qualities we wish to instil in our young people

Sir William Stanier, Crewe is part of The Learning Alliance (TLA) which serves families from Congleton, Crewe, Knutsford and parts of North Staffordshire. It includes Congleton High School, The Oaks Academy, Black Firs Primary School, Castle Primary School, The Knutsford Academy, The Knutsford Studio, Edgerton Primary School and Sir William Stanier.
