What skills and experience we're looking for
Our motto ‘Believe it can be done’shines through everything we do at Broadway Academy; that is why we are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and successful PE teacher keen to develop their career. This role would suit a newly qualified or experienced teacher seeking to make a real impact on the wonderful students at the Academy. You will be expected to continue our commitment to running a broad range of extra-curricular clubs at break, lunch and after school, and will have the ability to teach GCSE OCR Sports Studies and BTEC National Level 3 in Sports. Broadway Academy is a high performing academy in north Birmingham and was rated OFSTED‘Good’in our latest inspection.
The Department
You will be joining a supportive and dedicated team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. Our facilities include a gym, sports hall, fitness suite, astroturf and MUGA. We provide over 20 extra-curricular activities throughout the year, with teams across all age groups competing in a range of activities in local leagues. We currently have sports academies on offer at sixth form - a basketball academy with the Birmingham Rockets and a cricket academy with Aston Manor CC. There is also scope for a potential girls’ sports academy as interest is high.
