FEMALE TEACHER OF PE with responsibility for Key Stage 3 PE & Girls Sport (TLR 2a - £3,391 per annum)

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and committed Female Teacher of PE. The successful candidate will also have a responsibility for Key Stage 3 PE & Girls Sport. This is a permanent and full-time position.

The PE department at Hampton College Secondary Phase is a high performing department and has consistently achieved some of the best Vocational, GCSE and A level PE progress and attainment results in the school over the last few years. It also has an outstanding reputation within the city for its extra – curricular provision, with many success stories for its teams and individual students in local, regional and national competitions. We provide a broad and balanced PE curriculum that can be accessed by all students in ‘Core’ PE lessons. This is supported by a well-planned programme of study with updated schemes of work and robust assessment model. This structure is designed to then provide a pathway for those wanting to develop their knowledge of sports and fitness in exam subjects, with options for GCSE PE and OCR Cambridge National Sports Science in Sport at Key Stage 4 and A Level physical education at Key stage 5.

In addition to the PE curriculum, the department also offer a wide range of enrichment activities for students at lunch times and after school. Some of these are run on a ‘Sport for All’ model that is more recreationally based and others are run for more ‘elite’ performers who may wish to represent the school in competitions. Running alongside this offer are opportunities to take part in coaching and refereeing courses, lead activities in festivals and be part of House and School councils as ambassadors for the PE department.

The PE Department works closely with all other departments and the SENDCo and are quick to support and intervene where necessary. The department has a real interest in driving and embedding our RECIPE for successful learning across the school. The team is committed to provide outstanding pastoral care, guidance and support to ensure that each child makes optimum progress in their subject area.

Hampton College is an established, successful, all-through school, which formed its own multi-academy trust (Hampton Academies Trust - HAT) in 2014. The Trust is also the education provider for the neighbouring secondary school, Hampton Gardens School and Hampton Lakes Primary School, which opened in September 2019. In 2020, Dogsthorpe Infant School joined our trust. HAT schools have very close links and some shared staff.

Hampton College currently serves the community of Hampton, on the southern outskirts of the city of Peterborough and has good links to Cambridge and Stamford. TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHY

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher with a passion for Geography, on a full-time basis.



You will be expected to contribute to the continued development of the Department’s curriculum. You should be able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues as well as having good organisational skills.

You should be a reflective practitioner, interested in developing your practice and trying out new strategies in your teaching. You will already be, at least, a competent user of ICT, and happy to learn more. Above all, we wish to appoint an imaginative and enthusiastic teacher, who will be keen to work alongside a team determined to create an excellent department and one keen to develop excellent relationships with students and staff.

You will have a passion for working with young people and you will relish the satisfaction that comes from helping them to develop and to learn. The successful candidate will, of course, be an important part of the department and can expect the support needed to develop their career further but will also be expected to:

• Possess the ability to inspire and motivate, and who have a passion for teaching and learning.
