We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our Centralised Finance Team, supporting schools across the Trust.

As a highly motivated and efficient individual, you will be comfortable working independently while contributing to the wider finance function. You will handle a range of financial tasks, including processing invoices, purchase orders, and BACS payments, alongside monitoring spend and reconciling supplier statements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will engage with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

The ability to manage a busy workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is key. You should be organised, detail-focused, and ready to work flexibly under pressure with a positive and solution-focused approach.

What will you do?

  • Support financial administration across the Trust
  • Organise and maintain Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLA) file updating information.
  • Processing of Purchase Orders from requisitions, accurately and in accordance with agreed authorisation and timescales
  • To provide financial information reports from the finance system for finance managers and give advice as requested

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working in a Finance/busy Administration department
  • High standard of accuracy/presentation with a good eye for detail
  • Decisive and shows resilience whilst working under pressure
  • The ability to work with initiative and multi-task during frequent interruption
  • Organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under minimal supervision
