Finance Assistant job summary

The Role

Corfe Hills School is looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Assistant to join our busy finance team. We are seeking someone who is efficient, professional, versatile in skill and can work flexibly. As part of the finance team, you will be processing a high volume of transactions against tight deadlines and will need to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst ensuring compliance.

On a day-to-day basis you will be processing income and expenditure transactions, raising purchase orders, liaising with colleagues and suppliers and providing reports to the School Business Manager as required.

You will need previous experience using a computerised accounting system as well as experience working in a busy finance office. Previous experience working in a school finance office is desirable.

You will possess strong organisation and time management skills with a good understanding of fraud prevention and the need for confidentiality. This is a varied role where priorities can change quickly, you will be liaising with several different stakeholders through a variety of communication channels so good communication skills are key. A high level of attention to detail is vital and accuracy of paramount importance.

Our Facilities

We are investing significantly in our facilities currently undertaking a £3.3 million classroom reconfiguration project which will be completed for September 2022. The school operates using Microsoft Office 365 and we make extensive use of Microsoft Teams. Teams is our platform for sharing resources, setting homework and collaborating with colleagues. Students and staff also have remote access to the school’s network.
