Oakgrove School are looking to appoint a Finance
Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with
the processing of purchase ledger transactions, liaising with department heads
and suppliers and providing support to the Finance Officers and Finance Manager
at School and Trust level. Our current staffing structure within Oakgrove is a Finance Manager, two Finance Officers and the Office Manager at our primary school completes finance tasks for their setting. Some knowledge of finance processes and systems
would be an advantage however full in-house training will be provided. The successful candidate must be well organised and should be able to manage their own workload.
This position is for between 20 and 30 hours per week, term time plus INSET days. There is flexibility on the hours and working pattern to suit the successful candidate.
duties will include but are not limited to:
budget holders and/or the finance team in raising orders for goods and services
in accordance with the school’s procurement procedures and following best value
goods received to the correct locations in liaison with the Site team.
supplier delivery notes and invoices in accordance with the Trust financial
· Assist in the operation of the fund collection systems as required –
includes cash handlings and processing transactions onto ParentPay and Scopay.
· File all finance related records in accordance with procedures and audit
