St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant to join our friendly, hardworking team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is offered on a full time, all year-round basis.
The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust (CMAT) finance team provides a professional, centralised service to a family of 25 schools comprising of 20 primary and 5 secondary across Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Stockport.
The Role
You will play an active role in the finance team delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused finance service to all academies within the Multi-Academy Trust while maintaining accurate financial records within the Multi-Academy Trust’s finance and accounting system in line with the Trusts financial regulations, policies and procedures.
You will be involved with accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit and compliance, budget management, assist the Finance Helpdesk and attend meetings as required.
The Individual
You will be working towards an AAT qualification or be committed to obtaining a finance qualification. You will have proven experience of being able to manage a varied and complex workload, delivering to timescale and the ability to produce complex financial information in a logical, user-friendly way.
You will need to pay attention to detail, have excellent numerical skills and have strong ICT skills.
Whilst being a Catholic is not a requirement for this role, you must be willing to support the Catholic life and ethos in our academies.
