Finance Manager job summary
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with school leadership to set annual budgets, ensuring financial stability and strategic alignment.
- Assist in closing knowledge gaps and provide training to enhance financial acumen across the Trust.
- Navigate the complexities of financial audits, ensuring compliance and timely responses to auditor inquiries.
- Stay informed about sector-specific funding and legislative changes, offering valuable financial insights to guide strategic planning.
- Advocate for best practices in financial procedures and controls, fostering a culture of financial excellence.
As a key contributor to Trust development, you will:
- Embrace a commitment to the children, families, and communities we serve.
- Develop a deep understanding of each school's unique needs through regular visits.
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
- Work collaboratively with the Central Team to enhance systems, policies, and initiatives.
- Support executive leadership in presenting the Trust's performance data.
Your communication skills will be vital as you:
- Engage positively with Trust schools, the Central Team, and external stakeholders.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will:
- Uphold the Trust's ethos and actively support its vision and strategic goals.
- Foster professional and effective working relationships.
- Contribute to a productive and happy work environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development and actively participate in the appraisal process.
- Adhere to all Trust policies, including child protection, finance, health and safety, data protection, and equality.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
