Finance Manager job summary
We require an efficient and reliable person to lead the management of the school’s financial systems and processes, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and school policies.
You will need to be personable, well-motivated and have financial and team leadership experience. You should hold an appropriate accountancy qualification and be aware of the Academies Financial Handbook and other financial regulations. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are vital for success in the role, as the ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong ICT skills including use of finance software and spreadsheets are essential.
Your duties will include:
● Managing the Finance Officers
● Taking responsibility for all accounting and reconciliation procedures
● Preparing financial accounts and regulatory returns
● Supporting the budgeting and planning processes
● Producing management and Governor reports
● Overseeing all financial aspects of school trips, supplies and catering.
