24hrs per week, TTO plus additional working weeks during holidays (negotiable)

Severn Academies Educational Trust (SAET) central team has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed accountant to join our Trust as Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving financial sustainability by providing high quality management that enables efficient and effective delivery of the Trust’s core aims. You will ensure that financial and budgetary controls are well managed, promoting good resource management across the organisation, so that public money is safeguarded at all times and deployed appropriately, economically and effectively. You'll be a proactive team player, instrumental in meeting the Service Level Expectations of the Finance Team.

We are looking for a highly capable and motivated individual who can demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of success within a busy accountancy function, operating all aspects of a finance system, including automated financial processes and reporting.
  • Experience of educational finance within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A collaborative Team Player with a ‘can do’ attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing Credit Control/Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the Trust.
