Finance Manager – South Wiltshire Hub Lead

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Finance Manager for the South Wiltshire Hub Lead, located at schools in the Salisbury area.

This is new role, required due to growth of the Trust

Ideally to start: July 2024

Hours required: Between 25-30 hours per week, to be worked between 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday over 4 or 5 days, 42 weeks per annum (term time plus TD days and 3 weeks in the school holidays). The trust is happy to negotiate both contracted hours and working pattern with the successful candidate

Salary Point K24 – 26, £37,336 - £39,186 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £23,367 - £24,525 per annum, for 25h per week) – (actual salary £28,041 - £29,430, for 30h per week), dependent on experience and pending salary review.

Pickwick Academy Trust currently consists of fifteen community and church primary schools across Wiltshire and Dorset, organised into three geographically proximate hubs. The schools in the Trust are committed to working together to provide the best schools and outcomes for their children.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic team who is motivated to support the trust to achieve the best education for all of our pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a professional and effective financial management service in the South Wiltshire Hub as well as being responsible for the line management, development and motivation of the other Finance Managers within the Hub.

Job purpose:

To work with the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, Head of Finance, and other members of the team to support the implementation of the Trust vision and strategic direction for finance and funding so that it is understood and acted upon by all stakeholders.

To provide a range of high-quality financial services to ensure the effective management and monitoring of the financial position of the South Wiltshire Hub so that it can run smoothly and efficiently in the delivery of its core aims.

The Finance Manager will support the CFOO and Head of Finance, and where appropriate lead in financial accounting alongside the preparation and monitoring of budgets and end of year processes on behalf of the South Wiltshire Hub. They will ensure that all work is completed to the high standard expected from a public body in accordance with the ESFA Academy Trust Handbook and all statutory requirements.
