What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience in a finance position including budget setting, monitoring and year end
- Knowledge of finance systems and financial controls
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Competent at use of excel with the experience and ability to communicate financial data to both internal and external customers or colleagues

Vision 1590 are looking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Finance Manager. The post holder will be based at our Trust offices at Whinstone Primary School working with our supportive and enthusiastic Central Finance Team. The central team are responsible for supporting 15 schools which include 4 secondary schools and 11 primary schools. Whilst specific duties will be agreed with the successful candidate, it is expected this role will initially support finance with a number of the Trusts Primary schools.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide high quality financial advice and guidance to budget holders and the Senior Leadership teams
• Conduct reviews and evaluations of spend and income and regularly monitor the school’s contracts and SLA’s to ensure value for money is achieved
• Produce accurate financial reports to tight deadlines, including the management accounts
